Jakarta (Armfalcon.com) – PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) at the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) in Jakarta, Friday, approved the distribution of dividends to shareholders of IDR 551.7 billion or around 50 percent of 2022 profits, equivalent to IDR 42 per share.
“The total dividend of around IDR 551.7 billion is equivalent to IDR 42 per share. The rest of the other profits will be used as a General Reserve Allocation of IDR 100 million and IDR 557 billion recorded in the Retained Earnings Balance to support the Company’s business development,” said President Director & CEO of XL Axiata , Dian Siswarini at a press conference after the AGM.
He said the company’s decision to provide dividends was a form of appreciation to shareholders who have supported the company to be able to continue to grow and develop to date.
The Meeting approved the Company’s Annual Report Including the Supervisory Report of the Board of Commissioners, as well as ratified the Company’s Financial Statements for the Financial Year Ending December 31, 2022. In addition. The meeting also approved the granting of full release and discharge (volledig acquit et de charge) to members of the Company’s Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners for the management and supervision carried out during the 2022 financial year.
The GMS also approved the replacement of the Director of Finance following Budi Pramantika’s resignation. As his replacement is Feiruz Ikhwan, a professional who previously had a career in a number of companies under Axiata Group Bhd, including at XL Axiata. Prior to rejoining XL Axiata, Feiruz Ikhwan served as Chief Financial Officer and Act CEO of Smart Axiata in Cambodia.
Feiruz said the company managed to improve a number of performances throughout 2022, namely revenue growth rose 9 percent to IDR 29.2 trillion compared to the previous year, as well as net profit which continued to grow 1 percent to IDR 1.1 trillion.
“Meanwhile, capex or capital expenditure in 2023 will reach IDR 8 trillion, most of which will be used for network development in various regions of Indonesia, especially outside Java Island,” he said.
