Welcoming Eid Al-Fitr 1444H, BI Prepares 5,066 Money Exchange Points

Jakarta, Armfalcon.com- Bank Indonesia is preparing IDR 195 trillion in cash during the holy month of Ramadan and Idul Fitri 1444H. In addition, BI is also working with banks to provide money exchange services at 5,066 money exchange service points throughout Indonesia.

Director of the Bank Indonesia Money Management Department, Hari Widodo said that currently the supply of currency for the 2023 Eid period has increased by 8.22% from 2022 and this demand is still dominated by the Greater Jakarta area and the island of Java. It is hoped that the increased demand for cash will also encourage people’s economic activities during the PPKM repeal.
