Armfalcon.com, JAKARTA — PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk recorded the total distribution of credit and trade financing or tradefinance amounting to IDR 151.8 trillion in the first quarter of 2023. According to the Main Director of Danamon, Daisuke Ejima in a statement received in Jakarta, Saturday (29/4/2023), said that this achievement was supported by growth in each business segment, including PT Adira Dinamika Multifinance Tbk. or Adira Finance.
The Danamon subsidiary recorded a growth of 48 percent for new financing compared to the same period the previous year which was recorded at 33 percent. On the other hand, Bank Danamon’s total funding grew by two percent on an annual basis to Rp 138.6 trillion.
“This is just the beginning, we will continue to innovate, find better ways to serve and provide financial solutions for our customers, achieve a better performance record, and strengthen the collaboration between MUFG and Adira Finance as a group,” said Daisuke.
Meanwhile, in terms of profitability, Net Interest Margin (NIM) increased 50 basis points (bps) on an annual basis with a stable quarterly trend. This achievement shows that NIM rose to 8.4 percent from the previous 7.9 percent in the same period last year.
The banking operating income increased six percent on an annual basis to Rp 4.4 trillion. Meanwhile, Net Profit After Tax (NPAT) was recorded at IDR 818 billion, down from the same period last year which was recorded at IDR 860 billion.
In terms of assets, the ratio of non-performing loans or Loan at Risk (LAR) for BDMN managed to be 12.7 percent, an improvement of 270 bps on an annual basis. The BDMN LAR also covers COVID-19 restructuring. The strengthening of asset quality can also be seen from the non-performing loan (NPL) coverage ratio, which reached a record high of 254 percent.
