Jakarta (Armfalcon.com) – The Directorate General (Directorate General) of Taxes continues to cooperate with the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) through the signing of the Second Addendum to the Cooperation Agreement on Utilization of Population Identification Numbers (NIK), Population Data, and Electronic Identity Cards (KTP) in the Directorate General of Tax Services.
The document was signed by Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo and Director General of Dukcapil Teguh Setyabudi at the Office of the Directorate General of Dukcapil Jakarta, Friday.
In an official statement in Jakarta, Friday, the Director of Counseling, Services and Public Relations Dwi Astuti said that the second addendum was made to renew the cooperation agreement in 2018. Previously, the agreement had also been added to on May 19, 2022.
“Regarding the close expiration of the agreement on May 31, 2023 and seeing the large benefits of this collaboration, the Directorate General of Taxes and Dukcapil agreed to continue cooperation through this second addendum,” said Dwi Astuti.
He explained that the second addendum aims to continue to improve convenience for taxpayers in accessing and receiving tax services through data integration that the two agencies are doing.
In addition, this addendum also aims to continue to streamline the functions and roles of the parties for synchronization, verification and validation in the context of registration and changes to taxpayer data, completing masterfiles taxpayers, as well as supporting tax extensification and intensification activities through the use of NIK, population data, and electronic KTP.
The integration of population and taxation data will also further strengthen efforts to enforce tax compliance because population data is the source data used by many government and non-government agencies and institutions, thereby increasing the effectiveness of tax compliance monitoring.
Dwi said that his party appreciates the support and cooperation from the Dukcapil Directorate General which has been going very well so far.
“We also hope that the synergy between the two agencies in the future will get stronger in order to build a better, just and prosperous Indonesia through tax revenues,” he added.
