Temporary Office Closing, US McDonald’s Will Lay Off Employees

Jakarta, Armfalcon.com

Fast food restaurant McDonald’s temporarily closed its office in United States of America (US) this week. This was done because the company was preparing to announce a decision to terminate employment (layoffs) employee.

To quote Reuters, Monday (3/4), via email McDonald’s asked its employees in the US and some international staff to work from home from Monday to Wednesday.

At the same time, the company will provide employment decisions or layoffs virtually. However, it is not clear how many employees will be laid off.

“During the week of April 3, we will be communicating important decisions regarding roles and staffing levels throughout the organization,” the company said.

McDonald’s is also asking employees to cancel all in-person meetings with vendors and other outside parties at its headquarters.

This fast food outlet in January 2023 will review the company’s staffing levels as part of an updated business strategy. This could lead to layoffs in some areas and expansion in others.

McDonald’s is expected to begin announcing key decisions this Monday.
