Taspen will Launch Cheap Housing Program for ASN

Armfalcon.com, JAKARTA — PT Taspen (Persero) is committed to improving the welfare of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) through a program to provide decent and affordable housing. This year, the company will launch the program in Solo, Central Java and North Sulawesi.

“In Solo we hope to get 1,000 to 2,000 units (houses) for ASN. Then in North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi) at least 15 thousand units,” said PT Taspen (Persero) Main Director ANS Kosasih when met in Jakarta, Tuesday (19 /4/2023).

He explained, in North Sulawesi it was expected that more would be because there, half of the ASNs did not have their first home. So Taspen wants to help them to have their first home

“Through the program with Taspen and cooperation with the regional government as well as the Regional Development Bank (BPD) and state-owned banks, so that housing can be purchased at more affordable prices. Even better, the installments can be long term,” he said.

The affordable housing program, continued Kosasih, will be launched soon. The plan for laying the first stone or groundbreaking will be held in June.

He revealed that many local governments have asked for the program to be implemented in their respective regions. It’s just that, he said, Taspen always checks or ensures the readiness of the land in the area concerned, because the condition of the land is considered the most important.

The readiness of local governments to prepare infrastructure must also be ensured. “Then the readiness of the BPDs in the area is so that they can work together with Taspen and other state-owned banks and state-owned banks to make funding affordable for ASN,” said Kosasih.
