Sri Mulyani was outspoken about the IDR 852 billion budget for the SEA Games in Cambodia

Minister of Finance (Minister of Finance) Sri Mulyani said Indonesia disbursed IDR 852.2 billion for the needs of mentas in SEA Games Cambodia 2023.

Funds are used for a number of purposes ranging from coaching athletes to bonuses for medal winners.

Ani, as she is affectionately known, said that this amount of money was disbursed from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) through the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora). He then detailed that the budget was divided into three purposes.

“Rp 522 billion for training athletes before competing in international multi-events, Rp 55.2 billion for assistance in sending contingents to Cambodia, and Rp 275 billion for awarding bonuses for medal winners (athletes/coaches/assistant coaches) of the 32nd SEA Games, ” he said on Instagram @smindrawati, Wednesday (17/5).

He then congratulated all Indonesian contingents competing in Cambodia. Ani detailed that the Indonesian contingent won 87 gold, 80 silver and 109 bronze medals.

In particular, he highlighted the sports (sports) of volleyball to basketball which appeared extraordinary at the Cambodian Sea Games. There was a golden hat trick won by the men’s volleyball team during the Sea Games event and the first gold in history won by the women’s basketball team.

Not to forget, Ani appreciated the Indonesian U-22 National Team for quenching their thirst for 32 years by winning a gold medal at the 32nd Sea Games. Garuda Muda successfully overthrew Thailand in the final with a score of 5-2.

“I assure you, APBN #UangKita will continue to be present to support the Indonesian sports sector. Once again, I congratulate and thank the heroes of Indonesian sports!” concluded Sri Mulyani.
