(There are) more than 4,500 that have completeness and are registered in the tourist village network fostered by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy,” Sandi said during a working visit (Kunker) to Serangan Tourism Village, in Denpasar. South, Tuesday (16/5).
He explained, from the 4,500 registered tourist villages, his party always gave appreciation to both the manager and the local government.
“And the first year we started with 50 tourist villages, the second year 50 tourist villages, this year we will increase it to 75 tourist villages with the target according to the RPJMN that we must foster 250 tourist villages,” he said.
“Therefore we invite all parties who have an interest because this tourist village really touches on sustainable development or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” he continued.
Apart from appreciation, Sandi said that the 4,500 tourist villages were also touched by an empowerment program so that the welfare of the local community could be improved. Empowerment is also carried out so that by 2024, 4.4 million new jobs can be opened in Indonesia.
“From these 4,500 data we have displayed and please touch them with empowering programs to increase welfare. Because tourism villages have proven to be winners of a pandemic that can create many business opportunities and jobs to increase people’s welfare with the 2024 target of 4.4 million jobs new,” he said.
