Manager of PT PLN Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) Semarang, Elpis Sinambela said, the electricity supply in all places where the Central Java (Central Java) Regional Police Officer Candidate Selection was carried out was in a safe and reliable condition. Including one of them at the selection location at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang.
This was conveyed by Elpis following up on information that there was an interruption in the supply of electricity at the Selection of Candidates for Non-commissioned Officers for the Central Java Regional Police, Tuesday (16/5) at SMK Negeri 7 Semarang City. They immediately sent their team to the field.
“After receiving information regarding a power outage during the Selection for Non-commissioned Officer Candidates for the Central Java Regional Police, PLN officers immediately conducted a check,” said Elpis in his statement quoted on Monday (22/5).
The inspection results, said Elpis, found that the electrical load on one of the phases in the customer’s installation exceeded the contract power limit of SMK 7 Semarang. PLN also provides a solution to this problem.
“PLN officers recommended to the committee for load adjustments, after doing this until Saturday the implementation of the selection did not occur with similar problems and the electricity supply was safe and reliable,” said Elpis.
Elpis added that during the Central Java Regional Police Non-commissioned Officer Candidate Selection activity, the electricity usage load for one of the phases was 247 Ampere, while the limit according to the contract power for each phase was 225 Ampere.
According to Elpis, to avoid this condition, customers can add electric power, take advantage of the Temporary Lighting (Pesta) tariff service, or divide the electricity load according to the contract power for each phase.
“To increase contract power, customers can add power,” he said.
However, if customers only need temporary additional power such as for parties, music concerts, projects, etc., they can take advantage of the Pesta service.
“Both of these services can be accessed through the PLN Mobile application,” said Elpis.
For additional power services, currently PLN is providing a promo program in the context of National Shopping Day. By purchasing an MSME product on the PLN Mobile application marketplace, household customers can add power up to 5,500 VA at a cost of IDR 250,000.
“Requests for additional power, new installations, and other electricity services are currently very easy to access via the PLN Mobile application, simply download it for free via Playstore or Appstore,” he concluded.
