Pertamina’s Fuel Sales Soared 43 Percent During the Peak of Mudik Lebaran

Fuel oil consumption (BBM) PT Pertamina (Persero) experienced a 43 percent increase during peak flows Lebaran 2023, namely April 20 or H-2 Eid, compared to normal days.

The increase occurred for gasoline or petrol type fuel, namely the Pertamax Series type.

He said the distribution of Pertamina’s gasoline-type fuel during the Lebaran homecoming period also increased by 5.4 percent compared to March 2023. However, there was a decrease in demand for gasoil or diesel fuel. The decrease was 25.8 percent compared to the average demand on normal days.

The Ministry of Transportation had predicted that there would be 123 million travelers during the 2023 Eid al-Fitr holidays. This figure has increased significantly compared to the 2022 homecoming flow.
