Pertamina Ensures the Reliability of the Plaju Refinery Maintains Supply Ahead of Eid

In order to welcome Eid, Deputy Main Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), Pahala Mansury, together with Pertamina’s HR Director, Erry Sugiharto, reviewed the operational readiness of the Plaju Refinery in Palembang. This activity aims to confirm refinery reliability as the main key to maintaining a stable and reliable supply of fuel oil (BBM).

According to Pahala, refinery reliability is a crucial foundation in maintaining production continuity, as well as ensuring a safe and stable energy supply. In addition, Pertamina continues to prioritize occupational safety and security (HSSE) aspects for workers, which are an important factor in maintaining the smooth production and supply of fuel.

“We will continue to ensure culture safety implemented in full, upholding safe, efficient and sustainable operational principles to ensure refineries operate optimally and continue to serve the people’s energy needs,” he said in his statement, Monday (17/4).

On the same occasion, the Main Director of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI), Taufik Aditiyawarman, added that PT KPI will continue to prioritize HSSE aspects, especially in terms of work safety, in all of its operational activities.

“Safety is a top priority in decision-making and operational planning, including at the Pertamina Plaju Refinery. We are continuously increasing understanding and awareness of safety for all of our employees through training, education, and strict supervision,” he said.

Approaching the Idul Fitri moment which demands higher production, he added, the Pertamina Plaju Refinery continues to maintain its facilities in a safe condition.

This is done by carrying out regular maintenance and strict inspections to ensure that the refinery’s equipment and infrastructure operate according to established safety standards.

By ensuring the reliability and safety of refineries, Pertamina is committed to becoming a world-class energy company and serving the community’s energy needs optimally and continuously.
