Jakarta (Armfalcon.com) – PT Mandiri Sekuritas has officially appointed Hoesen as the new company’s Main Commissioner and Independent Commissioner to replace Mirza Adityaswara who was appointed Deputy Chair of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2022.
Hoesen’s appointment as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of the company was approved by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) on February 17, 2023 and by Circular General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) Resolutions on May 16, 2023.
“I thank you for the trust given by Bank Mandiri as a shareholder to become Main and Independent Commissioner at Mandiri Sekuritas,” Hoesen said in an official statement in Jakarta, Friday.
For this reason, he and the Board of Commissioners are highly committed to carrying out the supervisory and advisory functions in improving Mandiri Sekuritas’ business in the Indonesian capital market industry and the Asian region, as well as developing competitiveness in the midst of increasingly high growth dynamics based on good and sustainable corporate governance.
The Board of Commissioners is always present in carrying out monitoring and evaluation of company performance, as well as providing advice on growth, including opportunities and challenges, governance, internal control, risk management, compliance, human resource management, and information technology systems.
As of the first quarter of 2023, Mandiri Sekuritas continues to maintain its dominance in the Indonesian capital market by occupying the first position for equity guarantees with a market share of 15.3 percent, the first position for global bond guarantees with 20 percent market share, and the second position for rupiah bond guarantees with 12 percent market share.
Furthermore, in the first quarter of this year, Mandiri Sekuritas also successfully completed several strategic transactions, including six equity guarantees and related transactions, 10 rupiah bond guarantees and related transactions, four global bond guarantees, and six reports.
Hoesen has 30 years of experience in the Indonesian financial industry and previously served as Chief Executive of the Capital Market concurrently as a Member of the OJK Board of Commissioners.
In addition, Hoesen has a number of experiences, including as Commissioner of PT Danareksa Capital, Commissioner of PT Danareksa Investment Management, Director of PT Danareksa (Persero), Director of Corporate Valuation of PT Indonesia Stock Exchange, and President Director of PT Indonesian Clearing and Guarantee Corporation (KPEI).
