Jokowi Warns 58 PSN Projects of IDR 420 T Don’t Stall in 2024

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) to complete 58 national strategic projects (PSN) worth IDR 420 trillion.

This was revealed by the Deputy for Coordination of Regional Development and Spatial Planning of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs who is also the Head of the KPPIP Team Wahyu Utomo. He also emphasized that he needed help from various parties to complete the PSN.

“There are 156 projects that have been completed with a value of Rp. 1,080 trillion. So, until the end of this year and next year, we hope that there will be 58 more projects that will be completed with a value of around Rp. 420 trillion,” Wahyu said at the Gelora Bung Karno Complex (GBK) , Senayan, Central Jakarta, Sunday (14/5).

“Of course the government will continue to make efforts, in accordance with the direction of the President (Jokowi), there will be no more stalled projects in 2024. There needs to be support from the whole community,” he added.

In addition, Wahyu emphasized that the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) needed assistance, especially through the State Asset Management Agency (LMAN). He said that PSN’s common obstacle was land acquisition.

Wahyu also touched on the matter of financing. On the other hand, according to him PSN can be accelerated through coordination with local regional leaders.

Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto emphasized that PSN would continue regardless of the president. He emphasized that PSN, which had not been completed, had already resolved its financial problems.
