PT Raja Service (Persero) will guarantee compensation and treatment costs for all victims bus accident which plunged into the river in the tourist area of ​​Guci, Tegal, Central Java.

Jasa Raharja Operational Director Dewi Aryani Suzana said that all victims, both injured and deceased, will be guaranteed according to Law Number 33 of 1964 concerning Public Passenger Compulsory Accident Coverage Fund with the amount of compensation regulated in Minister of Finance Regulation Number 15 of 2017.

“For victims who died, Jasa Raharja will provide compensation as a basic protection of Rp. 50 million, which will be given by legal heirs. Meanwhile, for injured victims, we have provided guarantees for hospital care costs of up to a maximum of Rp. 20 million,” Dewi said in an official statement. , Monday (8/5).

Dewi said the compensation was a form of basic protection as well as a form of the state’s presence in society through Jasa Marga. Jasa Marga also appealed to the public and public transport crews to always be vigilant.

Previously, a bus carrying dozens of passengers had an accident in the tourist area of ​​Guci, Tegal, Central Java, Sunday (7/5).

Police say the death toll in the bus accident has risen to two.

Kapolres Tegal AKBP Muhammad Sajarod said that one additional victim had previously received treatment at the hospital, but died.

“This morning we received information after we checked into the hospital, it turned out that one victim had died this morning,” said Sajarod when contacted, Monday (8/5).
