PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk predicts the peak of homecoming flows Eid 2023 fell on Wednesday 19 April, while the peak of reverse flow was on Tuesday 25 April.
This was revealed by Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head of Jasa Marga, Lisye Octaviana.
“For the peak of the homecoming flow, it is estimated that it will be on D-3 Eid or Wednesday, April 19 2023,” said Lisye, quoted BetweenMonday (3/4).
He added that the volume of traffic leaving Jabotabek during the H-7 to H+7 Eid 2023 period through the four main toll gates is estimated at 2.78 million vehicles, an increase of 6.77 percent compared to Eid 2022, which reached 2.6 million vehicles.
The distribution of traffic out of Jabotabek is dominated by vehicles heading east or Trans Java by 52 percent, then heading west or Merak by 27.8 percent, and heading south or Ciawi by 20.2 percent.
Lisye said the traffic prediction during the peak of homecoming on April 19 2023 was as many as 138 thousand vehicles on KM 66 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road or up 2 percent from the peak of Lebaran 2022 homecoming, namely 135 thousand vehicles.
“We also predict that the peak of return flow will fall on Tuesday 25 April 2023 or H + 2 Eid,” said Lisye.
According to him, the volume of traffic entering Greater Jakarta during the H-7 to H+7 Eid 2023 period through the four main toll gates is estimated at 2.66 million vehicles, up 3.71 percent compared to Eid 2022 of 2.56 million vehicles.
The distribution of incoming traffic to Jabotabek is dominated by vehicles from the East or Trans Java direction by 51.2 percent, then from the West or Merak by 28 percent, and from the South or Ciawi by 20.8 percent.
Jasa Marga estimates that during the peak of the return flow on April 25, 2023, there will be 178 thousand vehicles on the 66 KM Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, or a 5 percent increase from the peak of the return flow of Idul Fitri 2022, which is 170 thousand vehicles.
“Basically, on the days leading up to joint leave, according to information from the government that was brought forward on April 19, 2023, there will be quite a spike in traffic. It is hoped that road users can make plans related to when to travel to the East, South or West. ,” he said.
