Jakarta, Armfalcon.com – The price of gold bars at PT Pegadaian was stagnant in today’s trading, Friday (5/5/2023) when the price of gold touched an all-time high.
Quoting data Refinitiv, hthe price of gold was at the spot point on trading Thursday (4/5/2023), the price of gold closed at US$ 2,051.05 per troy ounce.
Gold had touched its highest record level on Thursday morning yesterday at the level of US $ 2,070 per troy ounce. Gold had touched the position of US $ 2,071 per troy ounce yesterday.
The surge in gold since trading Wednesday was supported by the Fed’s decision. The most super-powerful central bank in the world continues to raise interest rates by 25 bps to 5.0-5.25%.
The Fed also has not indicated that it will soften soon by cutting interest rates. However, The Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has indicated that it will end interest rate hikes.
In the absence of an increase, the US dollar is expected to weaken and yield US government bonds will be sloping. This condition will benefit gold because the dollar is more affordable for investment.
The increase in gold prices has an effect because it is a reference for the gold sold by Pegadaian.
Pegadaian itself sells various types of gold, namely Antam gold, Antam Retro, Antam Batik, and UBS. Various sizes are sold, ranging from 0.5 grams to 1,000 grams.
In today’s trading, the price of 1 gram of Antam’s gold is still priced at IDR 1,104,000. The price has not moved compared to yesterday.
This gold is available from 0.5 grams to 1,000 grams.
Meanwhile, 1 gram of Antam Retro gold costs IDR 1,068,000. The price has not changed compared to yesterday’s trading.
Antam Retro Gold is old packaged gold where the gold coins and the certificate are separate. Antam Retro Gold was last produced in 2018, and is available from 0.5 grams to 100 grams.
Finally, the price of UBS gold issued by PT Untung Bersama Sejahtera is IDR 1,062,000 per gram where the price has not changed compared to yesterday.
The available UBS gold is complete, ranging in size from 0.5 grams to 1,000 grams.
