Garuda Indonesia Prepares 1.2 Million Seats for Eid Homecoming

airline Garuda Indonesia together with its subsidiary Citilink prepared at least 1.2 million seats flight for domestic and international routes on Eid 2023.

Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra explained that optimization of production capacity is carried out through the operation of wide-body aircraft to increase flight frequency.

“The composition of Garuda Group seat availability consists of at least 518,856 seats that will be provided by Garuda Indonesia,” said Irfan in his official statement, Sunday (2/3).

Meanwhile Citilink, said Irfan, will prepare 722,080 seats.

The figure for the availability of Garuda Indonesia Group flight seats in this Eid period increased by 45 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

Meanwhile, Garuda Indonesia’s flight capacity will be optimized on a number of routes that have high demand, such as Jakarta – Padang, Jakarta – Semarang, Jakarta – Solo, Jakarta – Yogyakarta, Jakarta – Denpasar.

“Of course the potential for improvement on various other routes will continue to move dynamically according to the needs of people’s movements ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr celebration,” he said.

Irfan also predicts that the peak of homecoming this year will occur on April 20. While the peak of backflow is predicted to occur on April 26.

“We will of course continue to monitor the development of passenger movements and prepare various anticipatory steps if there is an increase in passenger movements during this period,” he said.
