Head of the Legal Bureau of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) M. Idris Froyoto Sihite denied that his party had received leaked documents from the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)KPK).

“I want to convey a clarification, so that the fuss over the leaking of the KPK documents which was mentioned during the search at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in the past few days can be straightened out,” said Idris Sihite in Jakarta, Thursday (13/4).

“It can’t be called a document, wong it’s just three sheets of paper, the contents are also not clear, it contains a list of company names.”

He explained that what was found was not a document, but an ordinary anonymous letter, no official institution had made it, it was also typed without a clear format.

According to him, the videos that have been widely circulated on social media in the last few days are fragments that are not intact and are fragmented in an irresponsible manner.

“During the search, I explained that the context was regarding the many anonymous reports or letters sent to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources with specific aims and objectives,” said Idris.

“So I emphasize again, it is not a document. But only three pieces of paper whose contents are not clear, so I just put them among other files,” he stressed.

Papers suspected of leaking letters from the KPK were found tucked away with several district court decision files in South Kalimantan around early 2022. The District Court decision file in South Kalimantan is related to a lawsuit filed by a mining entrepreneur in South Kalimantan with the initial “S”.

Idris Sihite stated that this had also been explained to the anti-corruption agency directly.

“So the businessman requested that the mining permits that had died be reactivated. And I explained this matter to KPK investigators on Wednesday (12/4) yesterday,” he said again.

On that occasion, Idris Sihite also emphasized that he had never known or even met a KPK leader with the initials F.

“I emphasize that I have never met, never communicated at all, and have no relationship at all with the person concerned,” he said.
