Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir comment about Hotman Paris Hutapea so the lawyer for the family of Asiah Shinta Dewi Hasibuan, the woman who fell and died in the elevator at Kualanamu Airport.

Erick said Hotman was his best friend. He also said that Hotman’s actions were good because he defended people in need.

“Good, we need figures lawyers like this. There has been communication on the ground this morning, but I haven’t been able to get the details because this is a subsidiary of AP, namely Angkasa Pura Aviasi,” said Erick at the Ministry of BUMN Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (3/5).

Erick also admitted that he was very open about the legal steps taken by Asiah’s family. He considered that this event could also be a record for BUMN to work even better.

“Of course I am deeply sorry for the incident in Kualanamu, because of that I support the investigation process,” he said.

Therefore, he also did not want to rush to fire the directors of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi and its parent company PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) in relation to the case of Asiah’s death.

“If I said ‘oh this director was immediately fired’, it would be too early. We’re still waiting for the investigation and review, whether there was an error, maybe we’ll see from the results later,” said Erick.
