Directorate General of Taxes Gives Time Extension for Annual SPT Reporting

Armfalcon.com, JAKARTA — The Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance, provides an opportunity for taxpayers who wish to apply for an extension of the timeframe for submitting annual notifications. This submission can be submitted online through the website tax.go.id.

Based on the official website of the Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance quoted on Saturday (8/4/2023) taxpayers can submit an annual notification letter if the reporting document is not ready by the time the deadline is reached. Taxpayers often encounter obstacles in reporting annual notifications such as unfinished financial reports, ongoing audit processes, or other reasons.

“Now the notification of extension of the Annual SPT can be done online on line through tax.go.id. We call it the Application for Extension of Time for Submission of Annual SPT, in short e-PSPT,” wrote the Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance.

Previously, the submission of an extension of the annual tax return had to be made directly at the tax office. However, now the process can be done completely online.

Taxpayers can access the tax.go.id site, enter the Profile menu, then click Feature Activation. After that, check the e-PSPT option and click Change Service Features so you can add access rights.

After that, to access the time extension application, the official website of the Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance, click the Service menu and select the time extension application or e-PSPT. Complete the various documents proposing the extension of time.

The Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance will conduct data validation to ascertain whether the relevant taxpayer is entitled to an extension of the time frame for submitting Annual SPT.

“Make sure you submit this notification before it is due,” wrote the Directorate General of Taxes of the Ministry of Finance.
