D-7 Eid, Jasa Marga Records 179 thousand Vehicles Leaving Greater Jakarta

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded 179,028 vehicles leaving the area Jabotabek on H-7 Hari Raya Idul Fitri 1444 H or on Saturday, 15 April 2023.

This figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (towards Merak), GT Ciawi (towards Puncak), and GT Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java) and GT Kalihurip Utama. (towards Bandung).

The total volume of traffic leaving the Greater Jakarta area increased by 11.56 percent compared to normal traffic, which was 160,473 vehicles.

“When compared to the Eid 2022 period, the total traffic volume increased by 17.3 percent from 152,594 vehicles at that time,” said Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana through an official statement, Sunday (15/4).

Vehicles leaving Jabotabek headed for the three directions, namely the majority of 90,416 vehicles or 50.5 percent headed east (Trans Java and Bandung), 50,882 vehicles or 28.4 percent headed west (Merak), and 37,730 vehicles or 21.1 percent headed west. South (Peak).

The details of the H-7 Eid traffic distribution monitored by Jasa Marga are as follows:

East Direction (Trans Java and Bandung)

– Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading for Trans Java via GT Cikampek Main Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 56,213 vehicles, an increase of 69.37 percent from normal traffic.

– Traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 34,203 vehicles, 9.30 percent lower than normal traffic.

“The total traffic leaving Jabotabek heading for Trans Java and Bandung via the two GTs is 90,416 vehicles, an increase of 27.53 percent from normal traffic,” said Lisye.

Westward (Peacock)

– Traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road totaled 50,882 vehicles, an increase of 6.57 percent from normal traffic.

South Direction (Peak)

– Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 37,730 vehicles, 9.80 percent lower than normal traffic.
