In the 2022 Sustainability Report which was released on March 31, 2023, the company shows its high commitment in increasing the transparency and accountability of sustainability reports.
In this report, POWR not only conforms to OJK regulations and GRI standards, but also refers to recommendations Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD). As a result, the company recorded a positive performance on the economic aspect.
The total volume of electricity sales was recorded at 4,413 GWh, an increase of 4.8 percent compared to the previous year. The company also managed to record sales of US$550.5 million and a profit of US$72.5 million for the 2022 period.
“The number of our industrial customers has also increased from 2,527 customers in 2021 to 2,595 customers in 2022,” wrote a written statement, Tuesday (4/6).
In addition to commitment in the economic aspect, POWR also demonstrates a commitment to sustainability in Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG).
On the environmental aspect, the company succeeded in increasing the use of environmentally friendly materials in the form of biofuels by 37.4 percent from the previous year. The company also increased the installed capacity for PLTS Roof from 3.2 MWp to 12.5 MWp
“These two renewable energy sources produce a total of 47,128 MWh of renewable energy, an increase of 48.2 percent from the previous year. The Company also consistently maintains the Company’s emission intensity level of 0.64 GHGe/MWh in 2022 which is lower than 2021 of 0.68 GHGe/MWh,” said the statement.
One way to achieve this success is by conserving mangroves and conserving local biological natural resources outside forest areas.
Mangrove conservation is carried out in a sustainable manner to improve the ecosystem in Pantai Bahagia Village, Muara Gembong District, which is on the north coast of Bekasi Regency, from 2019 to 2022 as many as 5,000 trees.
“While the conservation of local biological natural resources outside the forest area is carried out in the Kiarapayung Biodiversity Park (Kehati) Block 2 which is located in Sumedang Regency and is home to 1,184 trees,” continued the official statement.

For information, throughout 2022, POWR has realized CSR activity funds of US$498,692, and from a number of initiatives and achievements in the environmental sector, the company has won a Green PROPER certificate for PLTGU Jababeka from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
