BTPN Syariah posted a profit of IDR 425 billion in the first quarter of 2023

The Bank also strives to continue to be more relevant to customer needs and business dynamics

Jakarta ( – PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (stock code: BTPS) posted a net profit after tax (NPAT) of IDR 425 billion in the first quarter of 2023, an increase compared to the same period in 2022 of IDR 411 billion.

Director of BTPN Syariah Fachmy Achmad said the positive banking performance was supported by BTPN Syariah’s good intentions in bringing about financial inclusion among the Indonesian people.

“We believe that Indonesian people from all segments have the right to access proper finance and wider access to a better life. The bank is also trying to continue to be more relevant to customer needs and business dynamics,” said Fachmy in his statement in Jakarta, Friday.

In addition to profits, total bank assets also increased to IDR 22.1 trillion from the previous IDR 19.2 trillion in the first quarter of 2022.

Meanwhile, BTPN Syariah financing grew by 11.1 percent on an annual basis to IDR 11.8 trillion from the previous IDR 10.6 trillion.

Financing growth is accompanied by healthy financing quality, reflected in the ratio of non-performing loans or Non Performing Financing (NPF) which is still under regulatory provisions.

Capital adequacy ratio or Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) banking is also still at a strong level, namely 51.7 percent. This achievement is above the provisions and average of the Islamic banking industry.

Meanwhile, Third Party Funds (DPK) are maintained at an efficient level, which is IDR 12.8 trillion.

In an effort to support banking performance, BTPN Syariah focuses on serving an inclusive society by opening access to finance, access to knowledge, and other access.

For financial access, BPTN Syariah opened service centers in various parts of Indonesia by placing field officers. Currently, the number of BTPN Syariah service centers has reached 2,600 sub-districts in 23 provinces in Indonesia.

On the other hand, BTPN Syariah also provides access to knowledge through a mentoring program that is provided to be able to develop four superior customer behaviors namely Courage, Discipline, Hard Work and Mutual Assistance (BDKS).

Meanwhile, other accesses provided by BTPN Syariah are access to supply of goods and market access, for example through BTPN Syariah Ventura which synergizes with strategic partners to develop an inclusive society.
