Jakarta (Armfalcon.com) – PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) won eight awards at the 12th Infobank Digital Brand Recognition event as the leading Islamic bank transforming the Islamic financial system.
“This award was given to BSI as an acknowledgment of the Infobank Digital Brand 2023 for the results of public assessments and social media feedback on digital-based banking products and services from BSI,” said BSI Deputy Main Director Bob Tyasika Ananta in a written statement received by Armfalcon.com in Jakarta, Friday.
The eight awards are The Best Sharia Commercial Bank 2023 (KBMI 3), The Best KKB Sharia Commercial Bank 2023, The Best Sharia Commercial Bank Deposit 2023, and The Best Sharia Commercial Bank Savings 2023.

The following awards are in the form of The Best KPR for Islamic Commercial Banks 2023, The Best Mobile Banking for Islamic Commercial Banks 2023, The Best Internet Banking for Islamic Commercial Banks 2023, and The Best Islamic Commercial Bank Debit Cards 2023.
Bob said BSI is committed and consistently working on digital transaction opportunities as one of the focuses of BSI’s development to accelerate business. BSI also continues to innovate and strengthen digital transformation by developing super applications that answer all customers’ daily needs, from financial to spiritual.
BSI recorded a doubling of the volume of digital transactions, namely 541.06 million digital transactions in 2022, an increase from 260 million transactions in 2021.
“The company continues to try to create innovations in our digital channels. Of course we do this because currently 97 percent of BSI customers have switched to using digital transactions,” he said.
This shift in transactions is able to drive efficiency and create improvements fee-based income up to IDR 251 billion as of 2022, growing 67 percent on an annual basis (year on year/yoy).
Bob is optimistic that digital transactions at BSI will continue to increase in the future, supported by BSI’s customer profile which is dominated by millennials, namely customers with an age range of 25-45 years. The characteristics of this customer segment are digital savvy and familiar with electronic banking services (e-banking channel).
