Jakarta (Armfalcon.com) – PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) targets housing financing in the first semester of 2023 to reach IDR 51.15 trillion, growing 6.42 percent on an annual basis by expanding the financing market.
Director of Sales & Distribution of BSI Anton Sukarna said the company is getting serious about working on the housing finance business which is the leading segment of Islamic banking.
“Housing financing through Islamic banks, especially BSI, has characteristics that do not exist in conventional banking, namely the existence of fixed contracts and installments until the end of the financing,” he said in an official statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.
It is believed that the contract and installment schemes will allow customers to make arrangements cashflow installments and don’t have to worry about rising interest rates.
To ensure customer safety, BSI also has more than 800 trusted notary partners and more than 3,500 developers or verified property developers.
In addition, to ensure security from the customer and company side, the legality of home ownership documents is guaranteed in accordance with applicable law.
“BSI continues to strive to accelerate housing financing so that people can have decent, safe, and sharia-compliant housing. This is also one of the spirits of the government’s program, namely the one million house program for Indonesian families,” said Anton.
Meanwhile, the amount of BSI’s griya or house financing as of April 2023 has reached IDR 49.5 trillion and illustrates public interest in sharia financing for homes. he continued.
