BSI cooperates with 46,000 mosques to collect DPK of IDR 1.2 trillion

BSI digitizes mosque financial management which is able to accelerate other financial activities such as donations and economic development

Jakarta (Armfalcon.com) – PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) noted that Third Party Funds (DPK) collected from the mosque ecosystem reached IDR 1.2 trillion as of April 2023 or grew 10.8 percent on an annual basis.

BSI consistently encourages the Islamic ecosystem in Indonesia, including cooperating with 46 thousand mosques as of April 2023 and carrying out various activities with the community.

“This indicates that people’s trust in Islamic banking is getting higher. Moreover, BSI is digitizing mosque financial management which is able to accelerate other financial activities such as donations and real economic development within the mosque,” said Director of Sales & Distribution of BSI Anton Sukarna in an official statement in Jakarta, Thursday.

He said that mosques have a big role in building the nation because they can produce generations of noble and tough character, one of which is through sharia economic preaching carried out in mosques.

BSI as part of the people’s economy continues to encourage the stretching of the mosque ecosystem through various aspects, one of which is increasing the comfort of worshiping at the mosque.

“This is the company’s effort to make the mosque one of the centers of community civilization, starting with prayer facilities, which will continue to economic activity (muamalah) and facilitating community socialization,” continued Anton.

Currently, BSI has a solution that mosque administrators can use to facilitate various activities, including managing mosque finances.

BSI has a number of programs that can be utilized by mosque administrators, among others sharing sessions mosque financial management, Islamic financial literacy, ZISWAF literacy, and knowledge related to Umrah and Hajj.

“BSI also continues to carry out its commitment to help renovate a number of mosque facilities and infrastructure, such as the Al Amanah Mosque in the Banteng Square area, Jakarta,” he said.
