Jakarta, Armfalcon.com- President Jokowi encouraged banks to support downstream sector financing, which is expected to be able to sustain Indonesia’s economic growth.
Main Director of BNI, Royke Tumilaar said that currently BNI is heavily involved in financing working capital for downstream projects, especially nickel, to financing derivative products. However, banks hope for OJK support related to ease of financing schemes from OJK considering the downstream project is large and involves many sectors.
Throughout 2022, BNI has disbursed downstream financing of up to Rp. 13 trillion and it is projected that in the coming year the potential for Indonesian downstream project financing can reach Rp. 500 trillion.
