Jakarta (Armfalcon.com) – PT Blue Bird Tbk or Bluebird recorded a net profit increase of 164 percent in the first quarter of 2023 to IDR 126 billion compared to the first quarter of 2022 which amounted to IDR 48 billion.
Main Director of Bluebird Sigit Djokosoetono said the results of the company’s positive performance record towards the age of 51 could not be separated from Bluebird’s agility in meeting the mobility needs of the community.
“We are grateful to be able to continuously record the company’s positive performance,” said Sigit in an official statement in Jakarta, Thursday.

He explained that this positive performance record could not be separated from the reopening of community mobility and the transformation that the company is carrying out on an ongoing basis to answer the increasingly dynamic needs of society. At the beginning of this year, the company’s operations were also supported by the addition of more than 1,000 fleets for all of the company’s mobility services.
This net profit is inseparable from the realization of revenue of up to IDR 1.046 trillion or 55 percent higher than the same period the previous year (year-on-year/yoy) of IDR 674 billion.
In line with revenue growth, Bluebird also recorded an increase in company profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Earning Before Interest Tax, Depreciation, and Amortization/EBITDA) almost doubled to IDR 283 billion from IDR 149 billion.
Sigit said that his party remains focused on providing reliable mobility services through various initiatives that came from the company’s transformation, namely ease of access, ease of payment methods, and a variety of mobility solutions to meet the needs of the community.
Most recently, the issuer with the BIRD stock code launched the sixth generation of the MyBluebird application which brings convenience from a variety of new features. Increasing the number and utilization of the fleet is also part of the company’s activities.
During the first quarter of this year, the taxi service segment grew 54 percent (yoy) and contributed 76 percent to total revenue, and became the biggest revenue contributor for the taxi company bearing the blue bird logo.
Meanwhile in the rental business segment, bus rental (charter buses), inter-city delivery and pick-up services (intercity shuttle), and others also increased by 58 percent (yoy).
On the other hand, he revealed that the sustainability factor is also the focus of the company. Since the launch of the Bluebird Sustainability Vision, the company has continued to carry out initiatives to support the pillars of the Sustainability Vision BlueSky, BlueLifeAnd BlueCorps.
BIRD has also increased the number of charging facilities for electric fleets, which now total 23 units in Jakarta and six units in Bali to support the operations of more than 150 electric fleets.
