ASDP Records 853,063 Homecoming Travelers to Sumatra on D-10 to D-1 Eid

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) recorded 853,062 travelers crossing from Java Island to Sumatra during D-10 to D-1 Eid 2023 or 12-21 April 2023.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Corporate Secretary Shelvy Arifin revealed that the number of travelers rose 3 percent compared to the realization in the same period last year, 829,193 people.

Then, the total crossing vehicles were recorded at 199,324 units, up 2 percent compared to the realization in the same period last year, 195,317 units.

The total number of passengers crossing from Sumatra to Java Island from D-10 to D-1 was recorded as 386,031 people, up 6 percent compared to the same period last year, 363,747 people.

On this route, a total of 73,723 crossing vehicles were recorded, up 2 percent compared to the realization in the same period last year, 72,163 units.

Especially for D-1 Eid, pedestrian passengers reached 4,758 people, down 11 percent from the same period last year. During this period, ASDP operated 33 ships through the Port of Merak to Bakauheni.

The realization of four-wheeled vehicles was recorded at 6,256 units, down 30 percent compared to the realization in the same period last year of 8,895 units.

Logistics trucks that have crossed from Java to Sumatra reached 299 units, down 29 percent compared to the realization in the same period last year of 422 units.

In total, 11,029 units of vehicles crossed from Java to Sumatra on H-1, down 26 percent compared to the realization in the same period last year of 14,852 units.

On the other hand, data from the Bakauheni Post on D-1 (24 hours) noted that the total number of passengers reached 23,067 people, down 21 percent compared to the realization in the same period last year, 29,328 people.

The total number of vehicles crossing from Sumatra to Java reached 3,745 units or decreased by 18 percent compared to the realization in the same period last year.
