Armfalcon.com, JAKARTA — The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenkomarves) stated that the most important efficiency in creating a government credit card (KKP) is that all transactions are processed domestically, then translated into government spending.
“Efficient credit card creation will be obtained from the 0 percent transaction fee earlier, but the most important thing is that all transactions are processed domestically, then government spending is transparent,” said Deputy for Coordination of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Odo RM Manuhutu at the Economic Festival Media Briefing Virtual Indonesian Digital Finance (FEKDI 2023), Jakarta, Monday.
On this occasion, he appreciated the launch of the Indonesian credit card which was said to be a form of innovation carried out by Bank Indonesia (BI) in collaboration with other stakeholders.
It is hoped that cooperation in the creation of KKP will continue to be improved by carrying out new innovations in order to encourage Indonesia to achieve a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Rp. 4.5 trillion US dollars in 2038. “The key is innovation,” he said.
According to Odo, the KKP makes it easier for the community and the government. A number of positive impacts from this innovation are that all processes will be carried out domestically and the data will be domestic, as well as transparency.
“Friends from BI have to use KKP, so we have to set an example. Don’t force us to use KKP, but BI doesn’t use KKP. The hope is that starting next week, we will see that BI will start using KKP for various expenditures,” he said.
